I've got a long way to go, but I thought I'd report in. When I joined this challenge, I thought it would be no problem. Well, yes and no. I live in NV and its hot and dry mostly. So I'm growing in containers, of which many are "ready to go" but now it's mid winter and I'm preparing for better weather and getting my seeds started. I DID get radishes and lettuce up this fall, and we ate the radishes (they tasted awesome, and of course, I don't like radishes, but I ate these!). The lettuce only came up in one clump, and I was kind of using it as an experiment. It is encased in ice (or was a few days ago when I checked). That container needs some drainage. Anyway, so my containers aren't perfect, and some of the watering needs tweaking, but the basics are there, now I just have to follow thru and get those seeds started.
Thanks everyone for your ideas and your success stories! I'm hoping that I will have one by mid Spring!!!
