Welcome and I just took a look a look at your website. What a great place to be involved in! If I lived down your way I'd be asking to sign up as a volunteer in a heartbeat. Looks like I need to take a harder look at opportunities in my own town. Right now I know of 1 organization in the Olympia area using gardening to work w/ troubled youth, but its a little far and fuel is a deal breaker on that one.
There are 1 or 2 nonprofits here in the Centralia area, but I''m not sure if they are accepting volunteers. I think most of the work goes to those that are being helped.
About 2 years ago this site was really active, last year I dropped out because of medical issues where I couldn't garden. I'm hoping that we're just in a winter slowdown and the site picks up to it's former levels. Seeing new members signing up is really encouraging to me.
